Nmesh, 1998 Nmesh, 1998 - A site specific sound, sculpture and light installation at 141 North 2nd. Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Occupying a floor of an empty warehouse measuring 38 feet by 140 feet, Nmesh used an array of six speakers playing samples and synthesized sounds under computer control, small lights controlled by a computer sequence, and a rotating theater light using a stepper motor controlled by another computer running MAX . Many of the sculptural constructions contained mirrors and lenses which reflected and refracted the passing beam of light. Objects cast shadow drawings on the walls as the spotlight paused and they were briefly illuminated. The installation was part of the 2nd Annual Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
