Intro-specks, 1998 A site specific sound, sculpture and light installation created for the 1998 International Computer Music Conference held at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Intro-specks utilized an array of six speakers playing back a collection of sound files using an algorithmic patch created with the program Max. The minimal sculptural environment contained numerical groupings of small elements and a hanging construction of wires, metal rods and translucent vinyl squares. A variety of shadows inhabited the space with a presence equal to the sculpture itself.
